Gut Health

I became increasingly interested in gut health when I began researching cancer recovery in 2009. My dad had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I was determined to help him live with as much quality and integrity as possible. Imagine my surprise when I learned that the majority of our neurotransmitters are made in the gut. I had never heard this. I have four degrees in mental health and never was this mentioned. It wasn’t mentioned because it wasn’t known. The importance of nutrition in mental health is gaining credence, but we still have a ways to go. These blog pages are dedicated to exploring gut health, the microbiome and the gut-brain axis. The intention is to supply resources and information to help you heal your own gut. Heal the gut - support the brain.
